Thank the gods, no more mucking with your xorg.conf file inside of Vi/Emacs/Nano for Ubuntu 7.10! The new configuration UI is on it’s way!

Update #1: Doh, double-halvsies-give-backs! Looks like Ubuntu Gutsy (7.10) will not ship Xorg 7.3, which is being pushed back. Unfortunately it looks like that means no UI config of the xorg.conf file until Gutsy+1.

Looking forward to some really nice changes across the board in Gutsy+1 in that case, hopefully some time to improve the ATI/NVIDIA drivers, xorg infrastructure, graphical configuration and Gutsy can provide more beta testing of the Compiz Fusion work that is still a bit too fresh out of the oven for me to declare it “everyone jump on it!”. Give them another 6 months of merging the Compiz and Beryl work.
