Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles Co-Op?

Kotaku reports that there are rumors the new RE: UC may include co-op. Kotaku says “nay” to the rumor of the co-op, and I would normally agree except the game has already been shown to be a “rails” game… meaning you don’t control movement.

So I see no reason you couldn’t have a co-op experience with this game just like any other arcade/zombie/shooter from 5 years ago that had two plastic guns sitting in the cabinet and at any time another person could walk up and throw his money in and along-side you.

So I give this news a giant “woot!”

I’m just curious if it includes re2 and re3 events as well as code veronica. I’m just hoping they’re not leaving anything out. Looks like a great game.

But then, what the game may lack in depth, it will probably more than make up for in breadth because it covers story material from Resident Evils 0, 1, 2, and 3, (and possibly some Code Veronica, we’re not entirely sure yet), with some new story elements describing the downfall of the Umbrella Corporation thrown in for good measure.

Sounds pretty awesome actually for RE-story lovers like myself.
