12 ex-army captains are requesting that Washington either get out of Iraq, or severly increase their presence there to get it over with by instituting a new draft.

Keeping in mind that a new draft would suddenly make everyone in America care about this war and mobilize, I’m going to go out on a limb here and say this is exactly why troops are on 3x longer stays than they should be and there is still no draft; because a draft would stop this war dead in it’s tracks.
